Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the federal government in Canada "could have acted quicker" to reign in the massive influx of migrants entering the country following the coronavirus pandemic.

Trudeau said Canada ramped up immigration to bolster the labour market after the Covid-19 pandemic and to stave off a recession. However, some "bad actors" manipulated these schemes for profit, he claimed.

Justin Trudeau said, "Increasingly bad actors like fake colleges and big chain corporations have been exploiting our immigration system for their own interests."
