After sporting a cream-colored look with last year’s City Edition uniforms, this season’s alternates swing the other way with a black base and a bright green trim. Design details include a weave pattern on the side panels, a pick stitch, and what the Celtics call a “future forward typeface and number set.”

The Chicago Bulls unveiled new City Edition uniforms honoring the United Center, but the design is not being well received by critics. The big picture: The NBA releases these special jerseys annually as an alternative to the main uniforms.
