Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones revealed this week that he was diagnosed with Stage 4 melanoma in June 2010 and underwent four surgeries, two on his lungs and two on lymph nodes, over the following decade, according to the organization.

Jerry Jones revealed his cancer survival story ahead of the new Netflix documentary about his purchase of the Dallas Cowboys and their 1990s dynasty.

"I was saved by a fabulous treatment and great doctors and a real miracle [drug] called PD-1 [Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 therapy]," Jones told reporters. "I went into trials for that PD-1, and it has been one of the great medicines.
