Israel has carried out air strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, in response to the group's missile attack on Friday which the Israel military said carried cluster munitions. The Israeli operation targeted a military complex housing the presidential palace, a fuel depot and power stations.

Israeli airstrikes have hit Yemen’s capital, days after the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels fired what the Israeli military described as the first cluster bomb they've launched since 2023.

Israel struck Yemen’s Houthis on Sunday after the Iran-backed rebels fired a new type of missile at Israel. The Israeli military said it struck a military site where the presidential palace is located, as well as two power plants and a fuel storage site.
