Newcastle have hinted that Alexander Isak will not feature in their Premier League opener against Aston Villa amid interest from Liverpool. Isak’s future is uncertain at the moment as he is at the centre of a transfer saga after Liverpool saw an £110million offer rejected by the Magpies earlier in the month.

Isak's 27 goals in all competitions in 2024-25 included the decisive one in the EFL Cup final that earned Newcastle their first silverware for 70 years and he was named in the PFA team of the year.

Personally I feel Newcastle are running out of time as Isak has made it clear he wants Liverpool and won't play for them again.
