Keith Hoffmann has become the first candidate to formally announce they are running to be Rhode Island's next attorney general in the 2026 election. Until about three weeks ago, Hoffmann was chief of policy for the term-limited Attorney General Peter Neronha who, he says, encouraged him as far back as a year ago to consider running for the job.
