Teenage sensation Victoria Mboko has responded to Naomi Osaka's snub at the Canadian Open final. On Thursday night, Mboko, 18, took on four-time Grand Slam champion Osaka in the final of the WTA 1000 event in Montreal, Canada.

Victoria Mboko has revealed that she underwent tests in hospital just hours before she sensationally won the Canadian Open. A three-set victory over Naomi Osaka landed the 18-year-old wildcard her first WTA Tour title.

Osaka has made progress since returning in last year's Australian Open. She won two matches in both the Australian Open and Wimbledon this year, has earned $725,727 in prize money and reached the No. 49 spot in the WTA rankings, with a higher ranking likely on the way by making the final.
