The University of Akron has sent out an alert Sunday night about a shooting near campus. Students are being advised to avoid the 400 block of Sherman Street after a reported shooting at the Envision Apartments. UA officials say a possible suspect fled north from the reported shooting. Akron police are reportedly on the scene.
