Samsung is discontinuing its messaging app and transitioning to Google Messages by the summer.

The app will no longer be available on devices with Android 12 or newer in July 2026, according to an update on Samsung’s website.

Another thing worth knowing is that once this switch happens, Samsung smartwatches running on Tizen OS won’t be able to view full message conversation history on their watches.
