The owner of an american bulldog has lodged an objection to the classification of his pet as dangerous, despite admitting that it attacked a girl, who required hospitalisation and surgery as a result.

Under the new ordinance, a dog is considered “potentially dangerous” and “vicious” when it engages in an unprovoked behavior that could cause harm.
