MIAMI (AP) — Don Shula, who won the most games of any NFL coach and led the Miami Dolphins to the only perfect season in league history, died Monday at his home, the team said. He was 90.
The award, the Don Shula NFL HS Coach of the Year award looks at coaches who embody what the winningest coach in NFL history excelled at in his own 33-year career.

Don Shula, 86, remains the NFL's all-time winningest coach. He coached the Dolphins for 26 seasons and won two Super Bowls, which included the league's only perfect season in 1972.
For the first time, Don Shula Award nominees from all 32 teams will be invited and recognized in special ways during the NFL's week-long celebration of football at the 2017 Pro Bowl in Orlando.
