Wildlife officials are using a new method to help control the explosive population growth of the invasive snake by tracking down their prey.

A native Florida cottonmouth consumed a Burmese python and its tracking transmitter, Zoo Miami showed in X-ray images shared on Facebook Thursday.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has been training dogs to track down pythons for more than a month.
