A Maths article on how to use your knowledge of fractions to multiply mixed numbers by integers.

The students will use models and draw pictures to multiply fractions. The students will view pattern blocks and then draw pictures to model fraction multiplication.

Revise how to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions, how to use a calculator for fractions and how to find fractions of amounts in this GCSE maths guide.

I’m not sure if Stephen Wolfram’s grand ambition with Wolfram Alpha was for it to help me and my son figure out the multiplication of fractions. But it was sure useful!
