A Bucyrus man was fatally shot Monday after barricading himself inside a residence, firing a weapon and threatening law enforcement, authorities reported in a press release. The suspect, identified as Paul A.

Chief Herman said the officer immediately began to treat Russell but he wasn’t cooperating and refused medical help.

The subject and adult were transported to local hospitals where they remain. Superior Mayor Jim Paine told FOX 21 the two people shot will survive. No other individuals, including officers, were injured during this incident.
