Mule deer on main street have become part of life in the small town of Cimarron in northeastern New Mexico.

Troy Collins, 70, of Syracuse, shot this beautiful mule deer Nov. 3 in New Mexico using a "phenomenally accurate Hart rifle," while leaning against a tree. "I'm an old competitive shooter," he said.

Cimarron has always been wild. Legions of mule deer that maraud through its streets and yards are just the latest example.
