If you’re like me, you probably prefer to stay home with the family and watch a good movie on New Year’s Eve. To those of you unsure of what movie to watch this New Year’s, Netflix has got you covered. The streaming giant has so many films in its extensive library that will turn December 31 into a memorable movie night.

Netflix is adding 43 new shows and movies to the streaming service today (Nov. 1). That's more than it adds in most weeks. So when I saw everything coming to Netflix today, I decided to sort through the list and see what's actually worth watching right now.

It’s something of a historic moment for Netflix. Stranger Things isn’t the first popular show to air a big series finale on the streaming giant, but it’s one of the biggest and certainly the longest-running Netflix series to make it all the way to the finish line.
