An evacuation order was issued for parts of the village of Decatur after a potential grain fire, deputies say.

Recovery from the Palisades Fire will take years, but people who were impacted by the destructive blaze are hoping changes are made much sooner so history doesn't repeat itself.

The evacuation, which included a portion of train track, also affected an Amtrak route coming from Chicago. Wolverine train 352 was canceled for Saturday, Amtrak officials said on social media around 2:40 p.m. The train typically travels daily from Chicago to Pontiac.
