One of the biggest advances coming to the Galaxy S25 Ultra is undoubtedly the new Snapdragon chip. We have heard from several sources that every version of the S25 will come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, meaning improved performance for all.

This has been a roller coaster few weeks for the community. With the launch of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite and the news that Samsung was looking to use Qualcomm’s latest system-on-chip across the entire Galaxy S25 range, Galaxy fans were ready for a consistent level of performance across the portfolio.

The Galaxy S25 series is set to offer the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, but the firm might also be leaning on software for smooth gameplay.

The leak from Jukanlosreve (via Android Police) hints at a Game Assist feature that appears meant to improve performance on the S25 series via upscaling and a bit of Qualcomm technology. It hints at a device that makes the iPhone 16 look outdated in terms of gaming.

The Galaxy S25 could come with a new Game Assist mode that doubles framerate without affecting battery life or heat output.

Joining the S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra, will be an all-new S25 “slim” model, which was previously rumoured to be launching standalone at a later date.
