KU Athletics reports that the Kimbell/Almanza families are donating $10 million to help support the Gateway District project at David Booth Memorial Stadium on KU’s campus.

But KU Athletic Director Travis Goff says in the long run, there’s only positives for what the process of the Gateway District construction will bring.

KU says future phases of the project will focus on the south and east portions of the stadium, along with the entertainment, dining, and retail aspects of the Gateway District.
