The one-mile evacuation zone around a Tangipahoa Parish plant rocked by an explosion and raging fire last week was reduced to a number of roads near the site on Monday, officials said.

Authorities urged the public to continue exercising caution in the area due to the presence of first responders and cleanup crews.
