3D Viewer App in Windows 11/10 opens .3mf files & allows you to open 3D models & then capture it with Mixed Reality video.
Microsoft offers an incredibly useful app– 3D Viewer which creators can use to animate 3D models, and also mix it with real-life objects using the Mixed Reality feature.
That didn't last long. By 2021, 3D Viewer and Paint 3D were removed from the default app install list on Windows 10, meaning you had to install it from the store.
Microsoft announced that the Paint 3D graphics app will be discontinued later this year and removed from the Microsoft Store in November.
A new app from Microsoft, titled View 3D Preview, has popped up in the Windows Store for Insiders to try out.
Starting with Windows 10 Preview Build 21332, which began rolling out this week, when you do a clean install of Windows 10 the Paint 3D and 3D Viewer applications won’t be included by default.
As the Windows Blog confirms, the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview Build (21332) removes 3D Viewer and Paint 3D from the default app install list.
