AWS Adds Active Directory Services Amazon Web Services is now offering a set of new options to run Active Directory as a managed service in its EC2 cloud.

Amazon Cloud Directory is a developer-focused managed service for storing large amounts of strongly typed hierarchical data, the company said.

Amazon has launched an AWS Directory Service for Active Directory, a fully-managed implementation of Microsoft’s authentication and user management service.
