GM has issued a fix for certain 2023 Chevy Malibu units with potentially incorrectly seated body control modules, which also affects the 2023 Cadillac XT4.

Chevrolet Volt has bad Battery Control Module (BCM) that results in loss of power and inability to charge vehicle. Dealer cannot get the module, backorder, with no projected availability date.

Owners who still wish to take their vehicle in for service can also have the body control module (BCM) reprogrammed by a GM technician.
