The NSW Government is considering making the Service NSW smartphone application mandatory for businesses that need to collect visitor data to allow for COVID-19 contact tracing.

Workplaces, universities, schools, TAFE, supermarkets, and more will be required to use a Service NSW QR code from July 12.

State government reminds hospitality businesses and hairdressers they need to use the Service NSW QR code system come January 1.
