Switch Minecraft's 1080p patch improves more than just resolution Smoother split-screen and mobile performance.

Minecraft on Switch supports the Pro controller and up to eight players online, or four locally in split-screen mode.

Like the Xbox and PlayStation versions of the game, "Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition" supports a split-screen multiplayer with up to four players, so long as the console is plugged into the TV.

Players can also use the device’s kickstand to play in tabletop mode if the TV is unavailable, which will also support up to four players through a split-screen mode.
