Shana was early innovator in eForms Content management company FileNet has bought Shana, a maker of electronic forms software, for $8.5 million in cash.

The content-centric BPM bundle now includes FileNet Process Monitor, FileNet Business Process Framework, FileNet Connector for Microsoft Visio and FileNet eForms.

The deal with FileNet Corporation's distributor, Robert Barnett and Associates Pty Ltd, involves 10 FileNet Forms Manager Designers and 30,000 concurrent Desktop eForms licences.
