Zoo Boise is building a state-of-the-art red panda complex to provide space for multiple red panda pairs to live and play in an environment mimicking an Asian forest similar to their natural habitat.

Zoo Boise's current red panda exhibit – built more than two decades ago – was meant to be temporary. The new, larger habitat and upgraded gift shop are expected to open in the spring of 2025.
