In an update to the Windows 10 Health Dashboard, Microsoft has acknowledged that this issue is affecting both Windows 10 and Windows server version 1903.

Microsoft acknowledged one of the five errors that users encountered during their Windows 10 upgrade.

Recently, some Windows 11/10 users reported Update Errors 0x800f0988, 0x80073701, 0x800f081f or 0x800f08a during the installation of a Cumulative Update on their computer.

As Windows Latest points out, Microsoft only acknowledges the problem as causing a single error code (0x80073701) when that is only one of five errors users are seeing with the upgrade.
