iRobot has acquired Root Robotics, a startup that makes educational robots designed to teach kids programming basics in a fun way.

To that end, on Thursday iRobot announced its acquisition of educational robot leader Root Robotics, known for its easy-to-use Root coding robot. iRobot is no stranger to the acquisition scene.

Root Robot is now for sale on iRobot’s website, and retails for $199 for an individual robot, while a 30-pack for classrooms goes for just under $6,000.
