General Motors has issued a service update for certain vehicles that use its VIP and GEM architectures in order to reprogram the vehicles' control modules.

It seems most manufacturers have discovered this problem, and are doing their best to tweak control module programming as a fix.

GM has begun a customer satisfaction program to address an issue with the transmission range control module in certain 2021 model year Chevy Bolt EV vehicles.

The program will offer interactive training courses and software that cover engine diagnostics, vehicle health reports, electrical systems, and control module programming.
