Auburn will retire its Heisman Trophy winning QB Cam Newton's No. 2 jersey on Oct. 11 in a ceremony during the Tigers' rivalry game against Georgia.

The Auburn football program announced Monday it will hold a ceremony to retire Newton’s No. 2 jersey during the Georgia rivalry game on Oct. 11. Only three other players have had their numbers retired in Auburn history.

Auburn Athletics will retire 2010 Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton’s number 2 jersey, making him the fourth player in program history to have his number retired. The retirement ceremony will take place at the Georgia game on October 11 at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
