The Giants' left fielder cleared the air on some of his quotes from earlier this week, then helps lead San Francisco to a win over San Diego

Heliot Ramos, Rafael Devers and Wilmer Flores homered off Nestor Cortes in the first inning and the San Francisco Giants beat San Diego 4-3 to hand the Padres their fourth straight loss.

Ramos led off the ballgame by sending an 88 mph fastball from the Padres’ Nestor Cortes into the left-field bleachers, giving the Giants an early 1-0 lead. Rafael Devers followed up with a solo homer of his own, making him and Ramos the first Giants to go back-to-back to begin a road game since Chuck Hiller and Duke Snider in 1964.
