Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward's performance was better than his statistics in preseason Week 2 QB rankings.

Tempers flared during a 96-degree day at Tennessee Titans training camp as quarterback Cam Ward and defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons got into a scuffle Monday. Ward threw a touchdown pass to Calvin Ridley toward the end of practice and went to celebrate.

Simmons, the Pro Bowl defensive veteran and Titans captain, was reportedly involved in back-and-forth trash-talk with Ward and second-year tackle J.C. Latham. Latham seemingly blocked and had words for Simmons on the play immediately before the fracas with Ward, where Simmons would eventually leave practice shortly after.
