CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Browns have gotten a jump on Tuesday’s roster cutdown to 53 by parting ways with 21 players on Sunday. They terminated the contracts of four of them, and waived 17 others, reducing the roster from the maximum of 90 to 69.

The Cleveland Browns have started their journey of trimming their roster down from 90 to 53 players, releasing veteran quarterback Tyler Huntley.

Cleveland released QB Tyler Huntley on Sunday, leaving the team with four signal-callers — Week 1 starter Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders — on its 53-man roster. Huntley, who signed earlier this month amid injuries, was the only former Pro Bowl QB on the roster.
