While he isn't giving up his main gig just yet, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has picked up a new sport. James, 40, has announced via social media that he has picked up golf, a fun yet surprisingly difficult sport for even the most gifted of athletes.

LeBron James isn't ready to retire from the NBA just yet. When the time comes though, he already knows what sport he'll play next. Just a few days ago, James exercised his $52.6 million player option with the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2025-26 season.

The LeBron-to-Warriors rumors gained steam again after the 2024 Paris Olympics, where James and Steph Curry played together and helped lead Team USA to a gold medal. Their chemistry on the court caught plenty of attention and left fans wondering if an NBA partnership could happen.

He averaged 24.4 points, 8.2 assists, 7.8 rebounds, and a steal per game, while shooting 51.3 percent overall and 37.6 percent from three-point range.
