This year’s MTV Video Music Awards is shaking things up, handing out two new awards to decorated artists in the rap and Latin music genres.

LL Cool J is hosting the ceremony solo for the first time. He previously served as a cohost with Jack Harlow and Nicki Minaj in 2022. There's no word yet on whether the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and hip-hop trailblazer will also perform on the big stage.

Busta, 53, and Martin, 53, will receive special Moonperson trophies at the awards show. The "Look at Me Now" rapper will be honored with the MTV VMA Rock the Bells Visionary Award, while the "Livin' La Vida Loca" artist will take home the Latin Icon Award.
