The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is currently on sale with 23% off, which means it’s down to $850 for now. It’d normally set you back $1,100, so this is a pretty hefty discount. It’s only going to be on for a short while though, so if you can afford it and you want it, now’s the best time to pick it up.

Google develops Android, the operating system found on over 3 billion devices, which gives it a strategic advantage to hook users on its Gemini-powered AI.

However, I grilled Samsung for coasting with the Galaxy S25 series. And if I were being fair, I’d have to do the same with Google — but I won’t. Both companies have a similar sales pitch: software is the reason you’ll want to upgrade. But while Samsung let me down with Galaxy AI, Google’s done the opposite with Gemini.

Google didn't need to make its own smartphone. Even though the company spent several years having other manufacturers build phones it could slap its "Nexus" branding on, selling hardware is not core to Google's business.
