TREMONTON, Utah — A large police presence has gathered outside a Tremonton home late Sunday night after reports of gunshots. Officers have responded to the area of 700 North and 200 East, near North Park Elementary School, just after 10 p.m.

Two police officers killed in the line of duty Sunday evening were honored Monday with a procession to escort their bodies to the medical examiner’s office and then back home to northern Utah. A police motorcade escorted the bodies of Tremonton-Garland Police Sgt.

Two officers from the Tremonton-Garland Police Department were fatally shot and a third officer and a police service dog from the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office were injured by gunfire after police responded to a domestic incident in Tremonton on Sunday night.
