I had a student long ago that despite my best efforts to help him, still ended up tanking in the class. I remember feeling like a failure because all of the soul searching and truth sharing I provided to help him. It all was for naught. Yet, I'm reminded that WE are ALL responsible for our own thoughts & actions, and that sometimes you simply will never be able to get thru to some folks. You may have to watch them spiral out. The best you can do is to never carry their baggage... their burdens.
