We are restoring land that was likely once a glorious Garry Oak ecosystem! This land has been grazed and plowed for about one hundred years or so. Despite this, a very small population of camas has persisted. Just a handful of these keystone species, amongst a sea of mostly invasive grasses, which to an extent were even intentionally planted by previous land owners! That said, these pressures have been alleviated, and we have planted hundreds of native plants to restore and support what’s remain
