Extra measures aimed at easing the cost of living for seniors are coming into effect this morning. The minimum income to access the Commonwealth seniors health card has been increased. It means an extra 44,000 older Australians can access cheaper prescriptions and bigger refunds for health expenses such as trips to the doctor. The cards are open to anyone over 66. 7NEWS at 6pm.
