🚧 Knik River Bridges Construction Update 🚧 We know you've felt that bump at the expansion joint and thought to yourself, "Why is that still there?!" 👷‍♀️The bump is there because the expansion joint is designed to sit about half an inch below the rest of the roadway. This is necessary so that it doesn't get damaged by snowplows during the winter. For comparison, storm drain covers are designed the same way!
