March 28th is Barnum & Bailey Day. It is on this day in 1881 that P.T. Barnum and James Bailey combined their acts and opened a 3-ring circus for the first time in Madison Square Garden. We're going to be honest folks, we do not have anything related to Barnum & Bailey. However, the largest halftone that we have in our print shop pertains to another circus performer, Clyde Beatty. In this video, Howard letterpress prints the halftone, which was made in the 1930s, using our Washington handpress.
