Ivan Martinez, Tom Morris '15 and Alex Petito '15, all engineered a battery system and instrumentation control for a weather balloon launched from FSU's main campus. A camera captured the balloon's travels as it reached an elevation of 94,987 feet, traveled as north as Callimont, Pa., and reached a maximum speed of 73.5 mph during its nearly four-hour journey.
